It 's really well done. I like it, and I think it represents something that at least once in our life has happened to everyone, especially when you're young and you don't have to work or have responsability, feeling distant from the rest of the world. You see everyone running and walking quickly because they have to do something important and they must do it immediately. While everyone have clear idea you're not sure what to do or where you go, you feel useless to humanity and come to the end of the day wondering if you did something useful, just steps away the days watching others, very busy, and try to find your future, a small space in that chaos. But in the end you realize that even if you're still not "useful" to the world, you're enjoying your life, while others can't rest a moment, you can still do what you want, no responsibility. You can enjoy the "dolce far niente", that it's an old Italian expression, it's means "delicious idleness". At least that's my interpretation and I'm sorry for my English xD
First of all congratulations on this marvelous shot! Usually photographers are supposed to use the rule of thirds, and sometimes breaking that rule can enhance a shot, and this is the case here, even though the model is dead centre our eyes keep coming back and stare at her. The movement from the invisible protagonists as well as the lights under the roller blind point out to the center. I’d like to give a big grats to the model for not moving, she is perfectly still and without that the shot would have been messed up. On a technical note, I guess you used a ND grade filter and did not resort to Photoshop (at least I hope), I love the effect of having left the shutter open for a few seconds. Lighting is seriously nice. What I love is the fact that the model is not wearing any shoes but is still posing as if she were wearing high heels.
I really enjoy this shot....and it feels a little familiar, too. Always seems like life is rushing by at a million miles an hour and I'm standing in the middle, taking my time, smelling the roses...not troubled by restrictive footwear.
I'm leaving this up on my monitor for a while to look at.
At least that's my interpretation
